One of the sporting goods stores we live by is Academy. It's huge and is a great place to take Jack to play on rainy days. :)

One of My Favorite Pictures

My Happy Thought

Jack was wearing a t-shirt and shorts when I left him to go change Emma's diaper. Next thing I know, he comes in wearing an exercise headband and rain boots while playing his vacuum like a guitar...and singing a song!! 

This kid is my sunshine!!! 

Story Time with Jack

Jack likes to read stories to me and Emma during the day. This makes me soooo happy. I seriously hope he falls in love with reading.

On this day, he thought it was necessary to sit on his changing table for story time. He "read" each page then turned the book around and showed the pictures to me and Emma, saying, "See, mommy and Emma? You see the pictures?"

Jack's Haircut

This was Jack's 3rd haircut, but the first he sat through without screaming or trying to get away. I am pretty sure it was the sucker that did the trick. Why didn't we think of that before??? ;)

He never really gets a full cut; just a trim. I don't like long hair on boys, but I don't like buzz cuts either...just something in between. Jack's hair is still really thin, but eventually I am hoping I can get it to look like Christopher Robin's hair from Winnie the Pooh. At least until he's old enough to tell me how he wants his hair done. :)

Right now, when I brush his hair, he immediately runs his hands through his hair and says, "Don't brush my hair, Mom. I don't like it brushed." So basically, his hair looks super cute for 5 seconds each day. Oh lord, this kid is 100% boy!! ;-)

That's almost how it looks after I brush his hair. Maybe one day he'll leave his hair untouched long enough for me to snap a picture of it. :)

Emma's Birth Announcement

Play-Dough and Science

Jack's science experiment was to see what happen's when we add ALL of our food coloring colors to the play-dough. His guess was that it would turn brown.

Play-Dough and Oils

I made some play-dough for Jack, and added lavender essential oil because I heard it can have calming effects. I probably should have used the whole bottle for it to have a calming effect on Jack though. Ha!! 😜
