Well folks, the time has finally come. Jared and I are leaving for Bolivia tonight where we will be working for one week at several orphanage homes run through the mission organization International Teams!!! You can read my previous blogs for all of the details on how we came about doing this mission trip and what it entails. For now, we are just finishing up some last minute packing details and then we are off. Please be praying for us and our flight situation. We have a lot of flights to get to for this trip, so it is imperative that we get to each one on time. This evening, we will be heading from Houston to Miami. Then we will leave Miami tonight at 11pm and head to La Paz, Bolivia. Once we land in La Paz on Saturday morning, we will then fly to Santa Cruz, Bolivia where we will most likely be doing the visa application process with customs. From there we will fly to Cochabamba, Bolivia which is our final destination. Lord willing, we will land in Cochabamba at 2:30m on Saturday and our host family (the Timmers) will be picking us up!
Please keep us in your prayers during this time. Please pray for our safety during the week, but especially during our flights, as we will be traveling alone until we reach Cochabamba and we do not speak the native language of Spanish. We are very excited to see what the LORD has in store for us and we are fully trusting Him through this whole process.
Well, we are off. Next time you see us and you ask us where we have been, we can literally say “half-way around the world!”
By the way, if you couldn’t tell from the picture alone, Jared is SUPER excited about this trip!! Haha
