Bolivia Prayer Requests

I received the email below from the family (Mike and Bonnie Timmer) that we stayed with when Jared and I spent a week working with the orphanage missionary team (IOU via International Teams) in Cochabamba, Bolivia.  {I wrote about our time in Bolivia with this group here and here.}

Please keep these prayer requests in mind or pass them along to the prayer team at your church. This is such an amazing ministry, and there is so much work to be done there.

Couple Prayer Requests

Dear Friends,

We would ask for your prayers for little Rouss (Rose) she is
the one year old daughter of our Sacaba House Parents.  She
was badly burned at church when hot water was spilled on her
legs and back. She was admitted into the burn clinic last
week. She is being treated by the same doctor that treated
Viviana when we received her three years ago.  The doctor
thinks that she could be released as early as today.
Samuel and Elsa would covet your prayers as they have had
a very difficult two years beginning with Hilda’s assault
by a neighbor, the birth of their third child, re-locating
to Sacaba and now attending seminary full time.  This has
been a heavy burden for such a young couple.

IOU continues to see higher than usual expenses as we
pursue our license renewals and pay rent on two children’s
homes until the end of the year.  By December we hope to
have both families moved back into IOU owned homes and
get our per child expense back to $100 a month.  Until
then we would like to invite you to help support the
living expenses of the children.  IOU-USA is available
to receive gifts and provide tax receipts.  Gifts can be
sent to IOU-USA PO Box 8552 Holland MI 49422.

Another tasty way to support the children is by drinking
Bolivia’s Best Coffee.  Visit www.BoliviasBestCoffee.com
just imagine praying for the children by name while you
enjoy a great cup of coffee. (Prayers are also welcomed
if you drink some other coffee.)

Serving Him and the little ones together.
